History Forgotten

We have a missionary house guest staying with us currently, and she loves history & historical places such as I do, - So we went on a history tour of the county! This is one of the oldest covered bridges in the state.
A cool old gas pump (imagine, 16 cents a gallon!) and a hawk we saw flying over the marsh. I thought maybe it was an Red-Tailed Hawk, but I'm not positive. Anyone have dis/agree?

Two pictures from an abandoned schoolhouse. Unfortunately the roof had fallen in, and it was deteriorating fast. This last shot is from an abandoned church. It was a really neat church, and had a huge cemetery behind it. I would have loved to go inside it! So yes, a good picture day.

Frontloader

I made a frontloader cake today for practice. I'm going to make one for the fair come this fall! Tomorrow's picture won't be up until Friday.

Poking Out

I bought some coneflowers for my garden when I bought my butterfly bushes. A few of them bloomed while I was away, and two of my butterfly bushes are as well!

Dark vs. Light

A five-shot panoramic of the valley this afternoon around five o'clock. The storm passed over leaving blue skies on one side, and dark clouds on the other. It looked so cool!

Forword Hoe

Today we headed home! It was probably one of the nicest days we had, and it being a Saturday a lot of people had their boats, kayaks & jet skis out on the bay.

New Song

There's a part of a song that one of my favorite artists sings that goes "As free as a bird with a new song." After chasing seagulls around for a while (enough time to get some weird looks) I got apicture I was pleased with.

Rainy Days

On Thursday it rained the entire day, only stopping briefly around eight to nine but then drenching everything after that.

Clear Skies

The only non-rainy sunset that we got to see. (There were two others, but we were in chapel at the time) I love sitting on the dock watching the bay, it's cool and calming.

For Your Glory

For the talent cafe one of the girls did a dance to a beautiful song. It was really pretty, and I'm not even one for dancing typically.

I don't know who this is. But he was playing guitar on the dock and made for a nice silhoutte. The black blur to the right is someone else..I might crop it out later.

My Sunshine

No, this isn't posed. I was taking some pictures of the flower and he came and plunked himself next to it to be with me. I love this dog. Note: I'm away until Saturday. See you then!

Tune Up

I took some pictures of my sister playing guitar back in January or February. Today we went outside to do some other pictures. We had fun, and I really liked this picture!

Butterflies

I'm not positive what type of butterfly this is, so if you know give a shoutout! We visited the Hershey Gardens today and found this little fellow!

Farm Life

My sister and I headed over to our friend's house to pick some wine berries to make some more jam/jelly. In the process, we played with their adorable puppy, and saw many farm cats along the way. We had a good time and picked about 3 quarts!

Yellow filters are your friend! They certainly are mine. Sure, I could always photoshop it later, but I like the satisfaction of a picture well-shot the first time. Yes, moree flowers. Click for the color version, tell me which you like moreee.

Me & my sister went to our friend's garden to try and catch some butterflies, but all we found were bee's (and I did see a bluebird as well!). I'm not much for flower pictures, but I kinda liked this!

I'm house/dog/turtle/cat/snake-sitting for a family friend of ours until Wednesday, so expect some animal pictures! This is Fritz, a cutie rescued German Shepard.

A cake we had celebrating a friends birthday that we celebrated tonight.

This is Diesel, we were best buddies all week. He's a sweetie, loves to lick, play ball, and when you rub his tummy his back leg will start kicking. It was the funniest thing!

Tonight we went out for some ice cream at a local place a few minutes from my pastor's house. It was really good, and I loved the old-fashioned parlor feel the place had.

I made breakfast for most of the crew one morning. I did pancakes, and someone else did eggs. I think my pancakes were defiantly better though!

Today we went into Philadelphia (this is City Hall) to work in a warehouse that distributes food to churches for food pantries and such. With the help of two other youth groups we bagged 4000lbs of rice into 5lb bags. Then came some more VBS fun! Tonight we had the parachute out, and it was a ton of fun. Mid-air balls, bright happy colors, it's just so happy!

For our missions trip we stayed at our youth pastor's house. His sons made all kinds of cute signs telling us where things were.

I went on a photo shoot with my cousin this afternoon and we had a blast! She's so pretty, so it's not hard to take gorgeous pictures of her. I loved this though, a definite favorite!
Note - I'm going on a missions trip with my youth group. I will continue taking my pictures every day, and backdate to the correct day when I get home next Sunday. Have a great week!

Today I washed Mac, I washed Bo (including using the leaf-blower to dry him off!), made black raspberry jam, cleaned the kitchen three times, (pre-jam, after-jam, after-party) did other various things, had people invade my house, made funnel cake, and watched some fireworks.

My friend, sister & I picked a lot of black raspberries to make Jam for the fair. Should be fun, I think that's happening tomorrow! This is my friend's new puppy. She's the cutest thing ever, I just wanted to hug her!
