'Ole Ball Game

Today my sister, Grandpa & I headed to the local minor league baseball team to see their last game, which happened to be a double-header. The first game lasted 12 innings, (regulation for a double header is 7 innings), but they won it 5-4. We left the second game in the top of the fourth, and I'm not sure who won!

Highways

The bricks in our walkway outside of the house. So yeah, not the most exciting picture.I'm on day four of six getting up at 7 or 7:30 and only falling asleep by 12. Tomorrow's picture should be slightly better I hope.

Road to Nowhere

It was really foggy out this morning so I asked my Mom to stop real quick on my way to work this morning. I love the country roads around here, they're great for biking too.

True to Himself

Live

Tonight some of my friends & I headed out to a concert with their youth pastor. It was a lot of fun, and a really great show. If you've heard of the band Red, that's who we saw. They were pretty awesome!

Butterflies are such unique creatures, and I really like how this photo captures this Black Swallowtail.

Sparkle

The last few rays of sunshine for the day shining down on some grass in the field by my house. I wish I had my cross filter with me at the time, I might have been able to get some pretty rays!

Budding

Fall is approaching swiftly, I'll be glad when we're out of August and into September. Even though our leaves typically aren't in full color until October.

Photo Walk

Today my friend's youth leader took a few of us on a photo walk. We had a workshop/lesson, then headed to this quaint little village nestled in the hills. The creek runs through it among the rocks and it's beautiful! It was my first time, and not my last!

Guinea Piggies

My little brother, sister & I made these adorable Guinea Pig cookies this afternoon. They're peanut butter cookies with peanut halves (cut in half again) for ears, and bits of chocolate chips (mini chips work best, but we were out) for eyes. They're really cute, it was a fun project!

TieDye Fun!

Today my family had a little tie-dye fun. We got a few shirts, and found anything white in the house and dyed it. We did socks, pillow cases, a shirt (or tank top) for everyone, one bandanna, and I think we even did a towel! It was lots of fun. If you look at the top picture, my sister even got a bit on her foot! She's also pictured at the bottom with her finished shirt.

The Mill

I gave a little extra time to stop by here on the way to work this morning. I get up when the sun does, and it gives off nice light in it's first hour! I re-did my blog, I like it!

Extreme Weather

I had a wonderful night photo-wise! The only thing better than nature, is extreme nature. I thought we might have a funnel come down at one point (winds hit 60mph), but none that I saw. We never did get rain,but lots of cool lightning. I've been trying to get a picture like the last one for a long time. - Glad to succeed!

Brain Food

I was going through some notes from church yesterday and muncing on this tad of cookie dough..and I kind of liked how it looked!

Imagine

Imagine. I've got quite a few things going on in my life right now. Buut..his is my 200th consecutive picture for a day. Feels like I'm almost there, but still really far off! It makes me happy to have kept this going for so long. - 165 days to go!

Sounds of Music

This is my families really old piano! My parents got it before I was born at a church fundraiser pretty inexpensively. None of us actually know how to play, but I can play "Joy to the World"!

Cleo & Henry

Today I got some guppies! I think they're really cute little guys, and I've always wanted to get some. I got one male and one female it hopes of little baby guppies, I think that'd be really neat! On the left is the female (Cleo) and on the right is the male, Henry.

Eastern Kingbird

I'm pretty sure this is an Eastern Kingbird! I've been wanting to see one of these birds for a while, so it excites me! It started by me asking my Mom to drive onto one of my favorite roads (straight, hardly any cars) to take some pictures. I saw a goldfinch and chased that for a while..then saw this guy! There was two of them, but this was the best shot I got. I wish I could have gotten closer, but it was in a cow pasture with a small pond.

Dog Days of Summer

Tonight the local custard and ice cream place had a Dog Night. We brought Bo and he got a free custard, complete with two dog treats in it!

These Little Piggies..

..Went to the fair! We went to the other fair tonight, it was pretty small. I still prefer my own fair..maybe I'm slightly biased. But these guys were soo cute.

E-A-G-L-E-S!

Two Philadelphia Eagles players during today's practice at Leigh University. My sister and I got to go today, and it was really cool. (Even though..it was 95 degrees!) We got two autographs as well! First preseason game on Thursday! (Poor picture quality, older camera)

Worship

I've been meaning to take my camera into church since I started this project. I click the slides behind the stage, so I get a neat view. I snapped this at one of the end of the songs. Today happened to be the Youth Service, I thought everyone did an outstanding job.

Pink Buds

My butterfly garden is now mostly blooming, and the flowers are just too pretty! I have seen a few butterflies floating around, but not on any of the bushes yet.

Old-Time Fun

I love experimenting with black and white pictures, it's so much fun! This is shot I took down by the water at the beach today.

Tall & Proud

I've really been enjoying the sweet corn this season! We froze about 350 ears last year, but the fresh stuff is just so much better.

Morning Mist

Typically I wake up once very early in the morning, and sometimes I go to the window to see if the sunrise looks pretty or not. This morning it was really foggy and misty. When I woke back up an hour later, it was all gone.

Cedar Waxwings

Yesterday I saw what I thought was juvenile Cedar Waxwing in our berry tree. Today I saw one of them in the top of my neighbors willow tree. But when I got somewhat close he flew the coop. Tonight I was able to get really close, such beautiful birds! Today we had round three of jam-making, peach jam. It looks really, really good. I can't wait to try some!

Best in Show

Until today, I'd never actually been to this fair. I'd been to my town's fair, and the farm show but this was a bit bigger. Personally, I like our little one a lot better. Still, it was fun! I'm not much for carnival rides, but I did go on a few. My pictures did really well. I won best in show in all three categories (B/W, Altered, Color, clickforpicture). Yes, I did edit out my name and the fair name. You may recognize the pictures, I know the bottom two have been posted on the blog sometime or another! Other than that, I got 7 firsts, 6 seconds, 1 third and 1 fourth.
